Trelleborg’s printing solutions operation is to hold a three day open house at its offset blanket manufacturing facility in Barueri, Brazil. The event, to be held between 21st to 23rd March, will provide printers with the opportunity to see the production of the industry-leading Printec offset blankets, which are exported from Brazil throughout the world.

Ernesto Rukopf, Commercial Director for printing blankets for Brazil, says: “As well as tours of the production line and other facilities, visitors will have the chance to speak to blanket experts and to better understand how we can help to improve the productivity of their offset presses. This is the first occasion that we have held an open house, but we feel that the time is right to demonstrate to people the level of innovation, investment and expertise there is at the Trelleborg printing blanket facility in Brazil and within the group as a whole.

“As well as the Printec brand, the Barueri facility produces polyester coating blankets plus adhesive and fabric-back options. Over the coming months we are launching into the Latin American market a range of squeegees for the screen printing sector, which have been highly successful in Europe.

“We also import Vulcan and Rollin products from Trelleborg’s manufacturing facilities in Europe and this allows us to provide the largest selection of offset blanket solutions in Latin America. Products range from metal-back versions and blankets used for metal decorating to those specifically designed for in-mould label production and the latest energy-saving UV technologies. It’s an extremely exciting period for us and we’re looking forward to welcoming customers and potential customers so that they can see for themselves how Trelleborg is creating the best offset blankets on the market today.”
