Maxon's Mill Duty Sheeter Provides High Throughput on Paper

Press release from the issuing company

(September 09, 2008) Paper mills requiring high production equipment can now be assured of a quality product with the Mill Duty Sheeter from MAXSON AUTOMATIC MACHINERY COMPANY.  Capable of operating at speeds of up to 1300 fpm (398 mpm), the Mill Duty Sheeter’s revolutionary dual knife rotary cutter design utilizes a lightweight composite material resulting in higher speeds on short cutoffs.

Available in widths of up to 100” (2540 mm), the Sheeter can deliver cut offs from 15” – 80” (381 – 2032 mm) long.  Sheet length accuracy of ±0.015” (±0.381 mm) and squareness of ±0.020” (±0.508 mm) is maintained regardless of cutoff or line speed.  Complimenting close tolerance accuracy is the superior cut quality obtained by the easily set dual knife rotary cutter.

For continuous operation, the Mill Duty Sheeter includes a count controlled directional gate that diverts sheet flow at full line speed to one of two stacking stations.
