Koenig & Bauer Appoints New Digital & Web Service National Sales Manager Position to Jürgen Gruber

As it increases its digital press portfolio, KBA North America and its parent company Koenig & Bauer have designated a new position to oversee the fast-growing digital sales and web service throughout North America. This newly-created position has been assigned to Jürgen Gruber who will specifically oversee sales of the RotaJET digital printing press as well as sales and support for the web service group. Gruber will report to Jeff Dietz, vice president of web and specialty presses.

Gruber brings an impressive sales and engineering background to his new position. In his most current position, Gruber was the newspaper and corporate account sales manager for a global imaging and information technology firm in which he exceeded sales goals and quotas for numerous years, attracted new business, and introduced a new digital print portfolio. In a previous role he had responsibility as director of sales for both North and South America for a supplier of custom printing technology in which he negotiated high dollar contracts for commercial and newspaper print divisions and oversaw a ten-man sales force. He began his career as a field service technician and service engineer for a large graphic arts supplier in both Germany and the U.S. in which he performed and managed installations and trouble?shooting of newspaper and commercial press automation systems.

Gruber holds a Master Industrial Technology degree from the State College for Master Studies in Lahr, Germany as well as a Technical Engineering degree from the College of Technical Engineering in Emmendingen, Germany. He has attended sales/marketing leadership classes at the Carlson School of Business in Minneapolis, and has annually attended corporate sales/marketing training programs in the graphic arts industry. He speaks fluent English and German.
