New Site Launched for Design and Publishing Pros

Press release from the issuing company

According to David Nagel, Executive Producer of Digital Media Designer - "Over the last few weeks, we here at Creative Mac have been busy working on a brand new site for those of you in the design and publishing fields-Digital Media Designer. Like Creative Mac, it's heavily focused on tools, including news about new products, guides to existing products, reviews and tutorials. It's also be heavily focused on the Macintosh platform, though it will also offer Linux, Irix and Windows news for those who work on multiple platforms." Right now, there are five product guides on the site, including lists of plugins for Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign and Adobe PageMaker, as well as a guide to publishing and page layout applications. As the site develops, these guides will also include spotlights and will be expanded into the area of Web design. Each guide includes short descriptions of the products, links to manufacturer sites and pricing and platform information. The guides also give instructions for adding more products to the list. "In terms of news, we're covering all things design, from publishing to painting to Web design, on a daily basis. We'll also be posting weekly reviews and tutorials-including video tutorials from Total Training-and columns covering issues in design. "For those who can't get out to a Web site, we also have a designer newsletter, called Pixels, which will deliver the site's content to your e-mail box on a weekly basis."
