European Open House Spotlights LED-UV Technology For Sheetfed Package Printing

Press release from the issuing company

VALENCIA, SPAIN — Sheetfed carton and packaging printer LITOTÚRIA will host a two-day open house at its facility in Valencia, Spain on January 24 and 25, 2018. The event will showcase the printer’s unique state-of-the-art setup for printing packaging with low-migration inks according to all pertinent European standards, which features two fully equipped RMGT presses, LED-UV curing technology from AMS Spectral UV – A Baldwin Technology Company, and Scodix’s digital enhancement system for offline coating effects, all used to produce high-end food and other packaging for clients around Europe.

The event opens the evening of Wednesday, January 24, with dinner at the official hotel of the gathering, Hotel Las Arenas in Valencia. Dinner will be followed by a short welcoming presentation for guests.

On Thursday, January 25, events kick off at 9:30 AM at the hotel conference center with a review of key technologies used in LITOTÚRIA’s printing processes. LED UV-based curing in a packaging setup will be highlighted during this session; presenters will review how AMS Spectral UV’s Wide Spectrum XP Series LED-UV curing technology for inks is used in tandem with conventional UV curing of coatings to achieve luxury-quality results for folding carton applications at LITOTÚRIA’s facility. In additional to explaining how Wide Spectrum LED offers a wider peak range and opens the door to printing with standard UV inks, presenters will explain where, why and how to deploy game-changing LED-UV technology, and will field questions during the open-communication format.

At 11:30 AM, guests will travel to LITOTÚRIA for a series of live print demonstrations that run until 1:30 PM; these will be followed by lunch at the nearby La Maritima Restaurant. The event wraps up at 4:30 PM that day.

According to AMS Spectral UV’s Carsten Barlebo and company president Steve Metcalf, the setup at LITOTÚRIA is unique because it showcases the industry’s most advanced LED, UV and Wide Spectrum technologies in one spot, and shows how they can be used to create stellar product that satisfies both the printer’s clients and their end customers – consumers who are influenced by quality packaging.

Printers interested in attending LITOTÚRIA’s open house can contact AMS Spectral UV at [email protected] to learn more – the event is free and open to qualified attendees.
