3 Sixty expands its creative display solution with further Zünd digital cutting system purchase

Press release from the issuing company

St Albans - Cardiff's 3 Sixty has responded to growing demand for a number of different applications by investing in a flexible and versatile new Zünd G3 3XL3200.

3 Sixty doesn't use the word 'innovation': in reality clients approach 3 Sixty with ideas and concepts that are not only solved and delivered, but exceed their high expectations. Apart from specialising in window displays, internal and external signage, point of sale graphics and national installation roll-outs, 3 Sixty will manage and coordinate the entire project using its extensive knowledge in creativity, print production and installation. 3 Sixty also continues to push into new areas, including textile printing, for which it has met an increasing demand over the past year or so.

"After nearly eight years offering a unique service our existing clients understand how we add value to their brand. We are now seeing the fruits of our hard work and dedication with new clients approaching us asking that we get involved in the early stages of their rebranding projects involving design, print, fabrication and installation. We are also constantly looking at new printing techniques and obscure materials and the new Zünd acquisition will allow us to explore more exciting opportunities due to its size and versatility," explains Richard Inkin, Managing Director, 3 Sixty.

3 Sixty has been running a Zünd G3 for the past four years, alongside its three EFI VUTEk printers, and a whole host of other specialised print and finishing equipment. This autumn the company decided to invest in the larger Zünd G3 3XL3200. "The 3.2m bed size means the new G3 covers the various widths of all of our printing machines," says Richard Inkin.

Like all Zünd digital cutting systems, the G3 has a modular design to allow it to be configured in a vast number of ways to meet the unique needs of each user – upon installation and in the future. Handling systems, modules and tools can be upgraded and swapped as requirements change and businesses expand.

For its new Zünd G3 3XL3200, 3 Sixty selected a 1Kw router spindle to enable routing on hard substrates including acrylic, ACM, MDF, Foamex, aluminium and others – in addition to the larger footprint's increased capacity for rolls of fabrics, banners, vinyls and other materials up to 3.2m wide. The system was installed in late November 2017.

"Whether it's routing acrylic or cutting textiles, the Zünd G3 is a precision machine designed for use in a multitude of environments," comments Stuart Cole, Managing Director of Zünd UK Ltd. "3 Sixty has been a valued Zünd customer for the past four years so we're delighted to see the business expand with a larger model which can continue to grow with them."
