Icon Graphics Installs UK's First Durst Rho P10 250HS Plus

Press release from the issuing company

New system expected to future-proof operations and double capacity

Leatherhead, Surrey – Icon Graphics Limited has completed installation of the UK’s first Rho P10 250HS PLUS 6C + W inkjet printer from Durst, the manufacturer of advanced digital production technologies.

The Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire-based large format digital print, sign and direct-to-media specialist works with the UK’s largest design agencies and many high profile blue chip companies.

Neville Tosar, Director, expects to achieve a return on investment over the next couple of years. He explains why he chose the system: “We wanted a solution that would elevate our production quality. We did not want something that just did more of the same. We wanted to future-proof the business and for us the Durst Rho P10 250HS PLUS was the best option.”

The decision making process took a few months: “We did our due diligence. We began looking around at the end of last year,” he said. “We went to see Durst’s Lienz manufacturing facility in Austria. It really is an impressive site. We saw the systems being built from their component parts. We liked the build quality and the production results. We made a few customers visits as well.”

“The Durst Rho P10 250HS PLUS is fast machine that is also easy to set up and includes ink saving capabilities that reduce costs. Job turnaround is much faster as a result of the LED Pin curing and there is greater substrate flexibility. The different production modes enable greater productions capabilities.”

He adds: “It improves our offering and will more than double production capacity. It shows we are investing in our customers and that we are safeguarding the quality of our production well into the future.”

Peter Bray, Managing Director of Durst UK and Ireland, said: “With ever more attention being placed on high quality graphics on all kinds of substrates and papers, Icon Graphics has taken a quantum leap forward with this investment. The news is bound to create further interest in our market-leading P10 systems that have become a byword for productivity and efficiency. The Durst P10s are commented upon so favourably by our customers and their own customers both here in the UK and further afield.”

The Durst Rho P10 250HS PLUS combines speed and quality to print on the widest range of rigid and roll media. Equipped with the latest Durst Quadro Array 10 print head technology, these systems achieve a print quality of 1000dpi without loss of speed. This also applies to the use of light colours. The compact and robust print machines for industrial production are designed for non-stop printing with minimum downtime, so they provide the highest production efficiency and reliability.

It delivers consistent quality on a variety of advertising and promotional materials, such as indoor- and outdoor signage and POS/POP materials to small and medium-sized packaging and backlit applications for luxury goods.
