Company Enhances Support for Enterprise, Government & Academic Customers through Expertise Gained in Recent Acquisitions OTTAWA--June 18, 2002-- Corel introduced the company's professional services group - a team which will deliver world-class customized solutions and support to address the specific needs of enterprise, government and academic clients. Corel's professional services team capitalizes on the enterprise-level expertise gained through the company's recent acquisitions of Micrografx, Inc. and SoftQuad Software Ltd. to provide enhanced services and support to large organizations. Corel professional services will support all of the company's software offerings, including XMetaL, WordPerfect Office, Corel Ventura, CorelDRAW, Corel DESIGNER, the iGrafx line of enterprise management software and future enterprise solutions to be launched by Corel. It will provide a full complement of services, such as needs analysis, integration, training, deployment, and support of the company's software solutions. The team will serve customers in all of the company's major markets. The group is led by Joe Sparks, who has worked in the technology and professional services sector for more than 20 years. Mr. Sparks most recently served as vice-president, business development and global alliances at Data Return Corporation, a company that specialized in providing enterprise customers with high-availability managed hosting services. His previous accomplishments include a distinguished, 11-year career at Compaq, where he held key roles in the management of engineering services, strategic alliances, andsolutions sales organizations. Mr. Sparks was active in managing critical partnerships with industry leaders including Microsoft Corporation, Oracle Corporation, SAP AG, Cisco Systems, Inc., Level 3 Communications, Inc., and other enterprise services providers.
