WASHINGTON – American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Donna Harman issued the following statement regarding Senate passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

“Paper and wood products manufacturers represent one of the largest manufacturing sectors in the nation and applaud the Senate's advancement of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to the next stage of the legislative process. American manufacturing jobs and the economic growth they provide are essential for our nation’s future. We encourage the House, Senate conference to quickly produce meaningful tax reform legislation that supports both. The sooner tax rates are globally competitive and provide opportunity for investment, the better for all Americans across the nation.”
