INX Digital EMEA to emphasize advanced, integrated technologies at InPrint Industrial Print Show

Press release from the issuing company

Milan, IT – INX Digital EMEA is taking the next step in developing inkjet printing processes for industrial printing by showcasing advanced digital ink systems and integrated technology samples at the 2017 InPrint Industrial Print Show. The three-day event will be held November 14-16 in Germany at the Munich Trade Fair Centre, and INX Digital EMEA will be located in Hall A6, Stand 202.

After considering the feedback received at InPrint 2016, INX will offer a variety of samples that could be printed digitally and made possible by the Prodigy™ line of custom inks and the GAIA industrial press, which includes new water-based inks. Marco Zanella, Sales and Marketing Director for INX Digital EMEA and Managing Director of INX Digital Italy, says the samples will range from food packaging and metal decorating to cylindrical object and direct-to-container printing.

“We will try and inform visitors about how inkjet printing can accomplish what current technologies are struggling to deliver. We have the capability to address time-to-market, small batches, variable data and creativity across the board,” said Zanella. “The samples we plan to show are created by our digital ink systems and integrated technology solutions. For example, Goglio is a leading packaging company that will install their first inkjet printer from MS Printing Solutions by the end of the year. The printer will use water-based WXKC inks created by Sakata INX for food packaging applications.”

Prodigy continues to evolve in the digital realm, offering custom inkjet water-based, UV Curable and solvent inks for a diverse printing range of substrates and the most challenging applications. Zanella said these inks are used on the textile, wallpaper and flooring samples that will be featured in the INX Digital EMEA stand.

One of the reasons behind Prodigy’s success is the JetINX™ Printhead Drive and Ink Recirculation system, which also drives the CP100 UV digital cylindrical printer and GAIA press. Technology advances are why JetINX is reaching its highest ever speeds and allows integrators to quickly develop complete printing systems. It also makes the CP100 a cost effective solution to print on cylindrical objects.

The same can be said for GAIA, a collaborative effort utilizing INX Digital’s custom integration of digital technology and print engines, Uteco’s expertise in web handling, and an online curing unit from ebeam Technologies. The first industrial end-to-end inkjet production unit with inline ebeam curing for indirect food packaging and labels, the 4-color GAIA press delivers brilliant color and output quality with resolution up to 720 by 360 dpi. It’s also very fast, with throughput speed up to 25 meters per minute, and uses photoinitiator-free inkjet ink. Zanella expects the machine to attract a crowd at the show.

“GAIA is a narrow web, single-pass inkjet press that captured a lot of interest from packaging converters and label printers when it was introduced weeks ago at Labelexpo in Brussels,” summed up Zanella. “It runs with our new inkjet e-beam ink and we will print samples on a number of polymeric films at the InPrint show.”
