printChannel.com Announces First Installations of print i/o

Press release from the issuing company

Development and Customer Testing Schedules on Track for Final Release SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 13, 2002-printChannel.com, the leading vendor of Web-based print procurement solutions, announced today that it has started early deployment to existing and new customers of print i/o , its next generation e-commerce platform. The company also said that its rollout schedule is on track for completion by July 1, 2002. "Our move to a simplified development environment that leverages Java and Oracle is showing results," states Oliver Pflug, CEO of printChannel.com. "print i/o leverages the best of both worlds: the robustness of the tried and proven printChannel system architecture, which has been deployed at over 1,000 print buying organizations worldwide, and the efficiencies of a standards-based development environment. And, even though our backlog of customers signing up for print i/o is growing, we will not rush the system to market. It is very important to get customer feedback in this phase to ensure that print i/o is production-ready upon final release," Pflug added.
