Press release from the issuing company

When your company is engaged in the field of education, it's important to use the best tools available for learning - to stimulate the mind and facilitate the process of aquiring new knowledge.

Such useful things include colourful, nicely printed books and educational materials, produced using a world-class press and cutting-edge technology. Fuzhou Huacai Printing Co., Ltd., based in Fujian Province, has been adequately providing this requirement for a long time now.

"We firmly believe that only by relying on the world's most advancd printing technologies can we maintain our reputation for premium printing quality," says Mr. Chen Liangqing, General Manager of Fuzhou Huacai. "We're very proud of the satus and reputation we have been enjoying in the education publishing field for almost 40 years. The challenge is to mantain it, or, if possible, reinforce it."

Founded in 1980, Fuzhou Huacai Printing Co., Ltd. is a state-owned printing enterprise under the Fujian Education Press. Now attached to The Straits Publishing & Distributing Group, it specializes in printing teaching materials. As a key member factory of the Fujian Newspaper Printing Association, Fuzhou Huacai is responsible for printing various newspapers under central ministries, such as the Workers' Daily, Legal Daily and Guangming Daily. However, its business is not limited to those, Fuzhou Huacai also prints brochures, advertisements and leaflets.

With more than 200 staff members, a 200-acre facility and fixed assets of over RMB 50 million, Fuzhou Huacai has been powered by advanced printing production equipment. Its annual production capacity: black and white printing 160,000 reams; colour printing 1.28 million colour reams.

Backed by leading printing technology and solid management, Fuzhou Huacai over the years has been providing customers with quality products, often even on short notice. Many of its products have been recognized in Fujian for their industry-wide excellence.

Fuzhou Huacai also attaches great importance to green printing. In July 2013, it successfully passed the green printing certification.

Fuzhou Huacai, which was established at the beginning of China's economic reforms, has witnessed the rapid growth of the mainland publishing industry. It has spared no effort to ride the momentum and help the industry move further forward. "Since the reform and opening up, as the government and people have paid more attention to the importance of education and knowledge, the education publishing printing has developed rapidly," says Mr. Chen.

"However, at the same time, the customers' requirements on teaching materials are increasingly demanding. They don't only need excellent print quality, for example, they also want stable and consistent colour quality - and they want their print orders finished quickly."

So Fuzhou Huacai puts emphasis on high productivity and high-speed printing to cope with the customers' demands. On top of that, the company also wants to use green printing materials whenever possible.

Manroland Sheetfed has been a reliable partner of Fuzhou Huacai for many years. It's no surprise that the company returned to Manroland Sheetfed when upgrading its printing facility, Fuzhou Huacai went at their goal in a big way: they brought the first ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION four colour sheetfed offset to Fuzhou City and book and commercial printing in Fujian Province.

Because it has a wide range of applications, the ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION is suitable not only for packaging printing but also for commercial and publishing printing, Mr. Chen says.

"With the successful installation of the four-colour ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION, we are confident in performing our role in the Chinese education printing industry," Mr. Chen says.
