SGI Dubai 2018 presents solutions to reduce carbon footprint

Press release from the issuing company

The exhibition will showcase a multitude of solutions for LED lighting in the advertising, marketing, hospitality and retail industries.

Dubai - SGI Dubai 2018 the largest and oldest trade show in the MENA region and beyond announces that its 21st edition will, next to analogue and digital printing, textile printing, digital signage and 3D/Additive Manufacturing, also presents a wide variety of carbon footprint friendly lighting technologies incorporating LED solutions.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) committed to reducing its carbon footprint and electricity demand through 2025, with clearly established targets in place. One of the easiest demand-side measures that can achieve this goal is to overhaul the lighting within buildings and at a city level, presenting robust market potential for LED in the region. Various measures are being implemented, like adopting global energy-efficiency standards, imposing additional import tariffs on (and even outright banning) general illumination lamps, and promoting LED lights. Facilitating this evolution is a steady fall in LED product prices and improving performance.

This market, forecast to grow at a CAGR of 16.8% (2015-2020) and, expected revenue of US$19781 mn, already impacts the print industry as many projects are being realised with their carbon footprint in mind.

SGI Dubai 2018 supports the sustainability of today’s and future projects by enabling visitors, printers and all involved in the printing, marketing, hospitality and retail industries, to see the most innovative solutions from the market at the show.

Various LED lighting and digital signage solutions reducing the carbon footprint of projects will be presented on the showfloor.

Successfully merging traditional and digital technologies and print to create environmentally friendly solutions for the hospitality, retail, manufacturing advertising industries enables print service providers to broaden their offerings and celebrate business success.

And the best of all: All can be seen and experienced under one roof at the World Trade Center in Dubai (UAE) during SGI Dubai 2018.
