Dreamworks Graphic Communications Adds New Komori GL40 to its Fleet of Komori Presses

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL - Komori America Corporation announced today that Dreamworks Graphic Communications LLC, a premier printing company that provides advanced printing capabilities for some of the nation’s most elite brands, agencies and corporations, has recently replaced an existing manroland press with its second Komori.

Since its inception in in 2009, Glenview, IL-based Dreamworks Graphic Communications has more than tripled its revenues with the ability to produce high impact, high-quality unique printing projects for its nationwide clientele. The six-color Lithrone G40, equipped with coater (GL640C) and conventional UV, will expand the company’s capabilities and offer greater operational efficiencies.

“Our goal is to be a full Komori shop because Komori presses are by far the best choice for gaining both quality and efficiency. I love the way these presses print and the exceptional service they provide. We have found the value Komori brings to our business is better than any other manufacturer in this industry,” said Dan Luka, co-owner of Dreamworks Graphic Communications.

Along with the fast makeready that gives Dreamworks the ability to turn jobs quickly, Luka reports that color control was also a key driver in the choice of the press. Many of the company’s customers are household names in the retail and entertainment industry. The KHS-AI system, intelligent software with a self-learning function, adjusts register and color matching within 20 sheets of print start up, saves on time and waste and offers a PDC-SX print density control capability that controls densities and automatically adjusts register. “I have never seen a press hold color like Komori’s presses do,” stated Luka. “We are excited the GL640C will support the high-end boutique work we are known for—and in less time.”

“Dreamworks Graphic Communications has been part of the Komori family for more than seven years and it is an honor to be a part of their passionate, innovative team and resulting awesome growth,” said Mark Hopkins, VP Sales for Komori America. “We are confident the GL640C offers all the capabilities needed to continue to support this successful operation.”
