Community Impact Printing Adds MBO T535 Folder to State-of-the-Art Facility

Marlton, N.J. - Community Impact Printing in Pflugerville, Texas, has added a T535 Efficiency 4/4 continuous-feed buckle plate folder with mobile A 56 delivery from MBO in its recently completed 36,000-square-foot, $10 million printing and mailing facility. Installed in October 2016, the half-format folder with MS Control System enables Community Impact Printing to create 20x26” self-folded mailers, inserts, and glossy covers—average run length is 15,000 folded pieces—that are among a large array of products the company added to its print management portfolio to supplement its core newspaper printing business.
The T535 Efficiency folder makes an apt addition to the company’s state-of-the-art printing facility. Proven MBO components such as quick-setting elements, MS Control, spiral fold rollers and slitter shafts with bearing plugs provide trouble-free production, while the stable design of the folder guarantees a long life cycle. An attractive price-performance ratio boosts the efficiency of this hardworking half-size folder.
“Our operator loves the T535 Efficiency for its robust design, ease of use and simple maintenance,” Ludwick said.
The company launched its online ordering portal at communityimpactprinting.com in August to further utilize the excess capacity of the T535.
Community Impact Printing was established to meet the growing demands of Community Impact Newspaper. Formerly an exclusive producer of newspapers, the printing company has staffed the new printing facility with experienced press operators, bindery experts and mail professionals and equipped accordingly. Today, Community Impact Printing still primarily produces newspapers but also provides targeted marketing and mailing services, as well as full-service, one-stop print management solutions from design to delivery for businesses around the country. Community Impact Newspaper employs more than 200 people, including 23 workers in the new printing facility.
According to Community Impact Printing’s General Manager David Ludwick, completion of the new printing plant enables the company to in-source all of its needs while controlling costs and providing faster turnaround times and higher quality.
“We view it as a nice value-add for our customers,” Ludwick said.
The addition of the printing plant and other turnkey services has been instrumental in boosting the newspapers' circulation to just shy of 1.8 million in the last year.
Community Impact Printing is a commercial printer that produces a wide range of products from newspapers and tabloids, to direct marketing mail and other targeted items.
