Elmwood Park, NJ – Four of the newest UV-inkjet LED printing systems from Agfa Graphics will be available for demonstrations at SGIA 2017 (booth #1929), with the Jeti Tauro H2500 LED making its first appearance in North America. 

The Jeti Tauro LED is a 100 inch (2.5m) -wide hybrid UV-inkjet printer with an integrated roll-to-roll system that is built for demanding 24/7 workloads. Offering speeds up to 2960 ft²/hr, the Jeti Tauro LED features continuous and automated feeding of a wide range of flexible and rigid media including corrugated board. The automated board feeder (ABF) option can process up to 4 boards automatically, increasing production efficiency by up to 30%.

“Our customers have analyzed the ink usage on the high production Jeti Tauro and report a positive long term impact,” states Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics North America. “They are impressed that such high quality output is produced at high speeds with minimal ink consumption.” 

The new Jeti Tauro is equipped with UV LED lamps that offer major advantages in terms of faster start-up, lower costs, less maintenance and enable printing on a broader scope of substrates. 

Agfa Graphics will also demonstrate LED curing technology in the following UV inkjet systems on display at SGIA: 

• Jeti Mira 2732 HS LED: a 106 inch (2.69m) flatbed featuring six colors + white printing at speeds up to 2486 ft²/hr. The Jeti Mira 2732 HS LED is Agfa Graphics’ highly versatile and productive moving gantry solution with a dockable roll-to-roll option that attaches to the front to reduce media waste. Additional options include primer for difficult substrates and varnish to achieve dramatic 3D effects. Its ‘Print & Prepare’ function allows the operator to load a new job while the previous one is still being printed for non-stop productivity. 
• Anapurna FB2540i LED: a 6-color plus white high-speed, UV-curable flatbed inkjet system which prints at speeds up to 1033 ft²/h on a moving gantry flatbed. It is an ideal engine for both step-and-repeat work and for printing multiple jobs on differently sized media. Borderless printing avoids an extra finishing step, saving time and money. Thanks to the multilayer printing feature the Anapurna FB2540i LED prints several colors and white ink layers in one run.
• Anapurna H3200i LED: a high-speed hybrid UV LED-curable inkjet system with a printing width of 3.2 m for indoor and outdoor applications on both rigid and flexible media. The 6-color engine prints up to 126 inches (3.2m) wide. The white ink function creates possibilities for printing on transparent material for backlit applications or for printing white as a spot color. It offers a solid, robust design to sustain higher workloads.
