Imprimart Targets Impulse Buyers with Taopix Mobile

Press release from the issuing company

Mexican photo gift retailer, Imprimart, has invested in Taopix Online to complement its existing Taopix Desktop version

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom - The business, based in Naucalpan (North Mexico City), was founded eight years ago and specialised in the printing and binding of high quality coffee table-style books. It pioneered the sale and manufacturing of personalised photobooks in Mexico with the launch of its FotoSmile webstore in 2013.

Since then, the business has experienced steady growth and has built a solid customer base in the professional photography market.

Photobooks account for the majority of products ordered through the Fotosmile brand although the company also offers a wider range of photo-centric products such as posters, prints, canvases and calendars.

The business has also extended its portfolio to include new products such as acrylics and is giving its professional clients a wider choice of sizes, formats and paper types.

Imprimart is very active in the photographer community and is a major sponsor of the FOTOMÉXICO 2017 international photography festival which starts in this month and runs until January 2018. 50 museums, 200 galleries and over 3000 entrants will all participate in one of Mexico’s biggest photography exhibitions.

The decision to buy Taopix Online was fuelled by the rising popularity of online shopping in Mexico and the long-term solid partnership with the Taopix team.

Enrique Elguero, CEO of Imprimart, comments “Millennials are making a real difference to how we approach e-commerce in Mexico. It’s took a while but over the last couple of years we’ve seen a big increase in those embracing online purchasing and we want to make sure we are part of this growth.”

“We purchased the Taopix Online platform as it’s optimized for users of all screen sizes, from the many different Smartphones to laptops, and plan to educate the market about the type of products they can order from their phones. We’ll be selling a range of photo gifts through the platform and targeting impulse buyers by making it quick and easy for them to design and order from anywhere.”

“We’re also talking to a number of brands and plan to launch with them using the white-label functionality that the Taopix Online Designer gives us; they’ll all have their own unique look and feel and range of products that suit their markets.”

“One partnership that we’ve established is with the popular Luchas Libres, the Mexican professional wrestling body.  We’re working together with them to offer a range of personalized, branded products to their many fans across the country.”

Alejandro Gamboa, Taopix Business Development Manager for Mexico, Central and South America, adds “It’s an exciting time for Imprimart and I’m very proud that we, at Taopix, are part of this journey and able to support Enrique with his plans for the continued growth of his photo business. “I’m sure the team will do a great job in bringing new customers on board. They have a lot of experience and skills that enable them to produce an amazing end product which is one of the reasons for their success in this market. We’re hopeful for a long and fruitful partnership.”
