Press release from the issuing company

Irvine, Calif. - Those attending the 2017 SGIA Expo, October 10-12 in New Orleans’ Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, can get a firsthand look at Roland DGA’s latest digital technologies for integrated print/cut as well as print-and-cut workflows. Roland will be showcasing its advanced eco-solvent inkjets for producing signs, banners and vehicle wraps, innovative UV flatbeds for printing custom graphics on three-dimensional products, and state-of-the-art dye-sublimation printers for adding vibrant graphics to textiles, soft signage, hard goods and more.

Visitors to the Roland DGA booth, 601, can check out the company’s new CAMM-1 GR series, a family of next-generation large-format cutters packed with advanced and versatile new features that deliver a whole new level of quality, performance and productivity. Roland’s GR series cutters, including the 64-inch GR-640, 54-inch GR-540 and 42-inch GR-420, boast top cutting speeds of up to 58.5 inches per second and up to 600 gf of downforce to cut thicker media with speed and precision. The GR-640 model can be paired with Roland’s 64-inch VersaEXPRESS™ RF-640 large-format printer to form an unbeatable print-and-cut solution.

Roland will also be demonstrating the impressive capabilities of its TrueVIS™ VG and TrueVIS™ SG series eco-solvent printer/cutters, newly updated VersaUV® LEF series UV benchtop printers, and dye-sublimation printers from the popularTexart™ family. Best-selling inkjets from Roland’s SOLJET®, VersaEXPRESS™ and VersaStudio® series will be on display as well, along with the VersaUV® LEJ-640FT – a one-of-a-kind UV flatbed that can print directly on substrates and objects up to six inches thick and weighing up to 220 pounds. Booth visitors will also see other cutting-edge Roland devices for unique sign and graphics production, such as the new MODELA MDX-50 desktop milling machine and MPX-95 photo impact printer.
