Hopkins Printing Wins Best of Show, Best of Category and People's Choice Award

Columbus, Ohio - Hopkins Printing won its first Best of Show award at the Print Excellence Awards Banquet hosted by the Print Industries of Ohio and Northern Kentucky on September 25, 2017. The company also received the Best of Category award and the People's Choice award. All three awards were for the production of the Monmouth College View Book, a college marketing piece designed by Ologie.

The Best of Show award is granted to the entry the judges deemed to have the highest quality level across all 34 categories. Hopkins took the top honor for the Division IV, Printers with 101 or more employees. The Best of Category award is also determined by the judges and in the case of Hopkins Printing it was the Booklets - Larger than 6" x 9" category. The People's Choice award is determined by banquet attendees who are invited to view all the award-winning pieces and cast a vote for the one that leaves the biggest impression with them.

The Print Excellence Awards judges submitted the following comments about the Monmouth College View Book, "This is a fantastic piece from the front cover to the lineups and crossovers throughout. The blacks and shadow tones were deep without flooding the mid tones. The colors were vibrant and densely saturated with no hickeys or streaking. This was a tough job to print on uncoated paper, but the printer did a fabulous job."
