New Rotary Die Cutter Highlight SGIA Exhibit

Press release from the issuing company

SCHAUMBURG, IL - Less than four weeks after its highly successful 5-day run at PRINT 17, Sakurai moves on to New Orleans for SGIA EXPO, October 10-12, 2017.

In booth 2453, Sakurai builds on its “Art and Adventure of Screen Printing” and “Don’t Print Ordinary” themes and will demonstrate its next generation MS-80All cylinder screen press equipped with Natgraph Smart UV drying/curing and new Sakurai OL-66RCS rotary die cutter.

The updated and more user friendly Sakurai MS-80All features a larger, 31 1/2” x 21 ½” sheet size, higher running speed of 4,000 sheets per hour, an ergonomically designed control panel, static free paper path and many more features to increase productivity and performance.

As the global leader in screen printing technology, Sakurai is the cylinder screen press of choice for the overlay, membrane switch and credit card markets and is ideal for a myriad of other screen applications, such as specialty finishing, glitter, soft touch, flood, spot coating and more.

At SGIA, screenprinting experts from Sakurai and industry partner Natgraph will be on hand to assist screen printers and trade binderies in custom designing a printing, drying and curing system, including LED-UV to match their specific needs.

“Sakurai is making its 11th consecutive appearance at SGIA this year and we be conducting live demonstrations of our MS-80All screen press line equipped with a Natgraph Smart UV dryer and stacker,” said David Rose, Vice President, Sakurai USA, Inc.  “We’re taking an offset produced presentation folder and enhancing it with two impressions of screen printing a metallic glitter and a raised UV spot coat on the MS-80All screen press and then die-cutting along with an interesting form of small boxes on the OL-66RCS die-cutter.”

Based on its enthusiastic reception at PRINT 17, Sakurai will also demonstrate its new rotary die-cutter, which performs die-cutting, creasing, complicated perforation processing and numbering in the vertical or horizontal position at rated speeds up to 10,000 IPH.  Ideal for short or long runs, the OL-66RC accepts sheets up to 18.5” x 26”.  Standard equipment includes: anti-static bar, preset counter, electronic miss sheet detector ultrasonic and mechanical double sheet detectors, sheet pile board sideway moving and a feeder pre-loading system.
