New products and innovations abound at IPEX

With just over a month to go, the list of new products, machinery, brands and innovations at IPEX 2017, the UK’s premier and longest running print exhibition, continues to grow.

Rob Fisher, Event Director of IPEX 2017 says “We are thrilled to see so many exhibitors bringing new products and revealing exclusive launches at the show this year, and we are looking forward to showcasing to the industry live demonstrations and ‘Print in Action’. Visitors  to IPEX will experience quality and productivity from pre-press to printing and finishing, the latest print technologies, and unmissable equipment on show at IPEX.”

Joining IPEX are new launches from APEX Digital Graphics with the debut of their RMGT Ryobi928P eight colour press; Friedheim International, Intelligent Finishing Solutions, Postroom online and Renz with the launch of their new finishing products; there will also be exciting product announcements from Watkiss Automation, Presstek, Duplo, Newtown and SPRINTIS.

IPEX organisers are also delighted that Ricoh will be present at IPEX to co-host a golf simulator challenge, as well as showing their presses and software solutions.  More details to be revealed soon.

 

Watkiss Automation, partners with Xerox to showcase the full production journey

Watkiss Automation has announced it will partner with Xerox at IPEX 2017 on stand H300, to showcase its new PowerSquare™ PSQ160X Booklet maker, working inline with the Xerox® Versant 3100 Press to produce full bleed colour booklet applications. Visitors will be able to see the full production journey of its finishing systems from job input to finished booklet output. 

Facilitating the implementation at IPEX is Zerographic- a Xerox Platinum Business Partner which is delighted to be partnering with Watkiss. The new innovative PowerSquare™ PSQ160X is the latest technology in its Booklet maker series. IPEX will be the first time it will be publically presented, showcasing live demonstrations of its capability of quality, accuracy and consistency.

Presstek to launch new LED-UV technology

Print solutions provider, Presstek is set to launch its new 34DI ECO-UV digital offset press with waterless LED UV technology at IPEX 2017 on stand B375. The new product brings a new compact design, on-press chemistry-free imaging and automation, and an efficient digital workflow. 

The new Presstek DI press is waterless – a design which results in less waste, a wider colour gamut, less dot gain, and reduced waste time. Visitors attending the show will be able to see just how fast printing can be with the technology that has been introduced to the Presstek DI range.

It’s the first time we have exhibited at the show and we chose it because IPEX is the UK’s most prestigious print event. Our Presstek experts will be on hand to answer any questions, and showcase our new long-awaited product at the show.” 

Duplo’s DuSense DDC-810 Sensory Coater set for international launch

Duplo will use IPEX 2017 for the international unveiling of its DuSense DDC-810 Sensory Coater on stand F300, where live demonstrations will be hosted throughout the event by Duplo showroom manager, Andy Cuff. 

The Sensory Coater will be a highly anticipated launch at the show, and has been specifically designed for embellishing detailed and creative digital print. Equipped with high definition 600 dpi heads, the DuSense DDC-810 system can both handle heavy solids and fine details in the same pass. The inkjet stands out in the market with its ease of use, high accuracy and quick turnaround all at a low cost for the user. 

Duplo’s Export Sales Director, Tony Lock adds, “The DCC-810 is a revolutionary new product from Duplo, which is in keeping with our well-known ethos of automated precision. Our team of experts can be found on the Duplo stand to answer any questions, and to offer additional insight on pressing industry topics during IPEX panel discussions.”

Newtown to unveil new range of automated gluing tables

It has been announced that latest IPEX exhibitor, Newtown will be unveiling its new range of Felix automated XY gluing tables on stand C360. The state of the art solution has been developed with the partnership of European company LYNX, to bring the machine to the UK for the first time.

The Felix gluer allows automatic and precise dispensing of both hot melt and cold glues for all types of print, packaging and materials, which eliminates the need for hand gluing production bottlenecks. The user will also benefit from the device with its fast, precise and user friendly finishing applications. 

Luke Verrall, CEO of Newtown comments, “IPEX is the ideal show to present our new machine. We are looking forward to demonstrating the speed, build quality and cost savings the machine can offer for any firms who are currently applying hot melt or cold glues by hand in their finishing process.”

SPRINTIS invites us to the ‘Beach’ 

On stand D250, SPRINTIS will feature its ‘SPRINTIS Beach’ where visitors can sit down, relax, and see the new products on offer, as well as the chance to talk to product specialists and get a glimpse of new upcoming projects. This year, SPRINTIS is really setting the scene for IPEX’s ‘see, touch and feel’ theme.

German family-owned business SPRINTIS Schenk GmbH & Co. KG, has announced its participation at IPEX 2017. SPRINTIS focuses on the key areas of the print and advertising industry, selling quality perfected products and made-to-order products such as new processing equipment, bookbinder accessories, and binding screw variants. SPRINTIS has a range of over 3,000 products, and will be proudly showcasing examples at IPEX.

Maria Bethge, Marketing Manager at SPRINTIS comments, “Following our previous successes at IPEX 2014, we are looking forward to attending the show in Birmingham and will be bringing along our new and enhanced products, and our unique and relaxing beach themed stand. We hope you can join us!” 

IPEX is the UK’s longest running international print show. The event takes place from 31st October to 3rd November 2017 at the NEC in Birmingham. IPEX 2017 will be a showcase of innovation, technology and print in action, covering a range of applications including printing, software, digital, and finishing. Online visitor registration is open and IPEX is free to attend, visitors are advised to register early to avoid the queues and take advantage of travel discounts and event updates.
