Haney adopts HP Indigo 20000 to develop brand packaging solutions

Press release from the issuing company

Haney, a global leader in package prototyping, is investing in next-generation digital packaging printing for the consumer industry with the installation of an HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company is building on 16 years of experience with HP Indigo and its HP Indigo WS4500 Digital Press to take the next step, moving into large format capabilities for its business — designing and printing both packaging prototypes and pre-commercial sales and test market samples.

“This acquisition adds tremendous capabilities to our end-to-end, integrated package design and development offerings and strengthens our portfolio of in-house printing, finishing and co-packaging technologies for retail and e-commerce applications,” said Dan Haney, Co-founder & President.

Utilizing the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press 30-inch web width, gravure-matching print quality and color gamut reaching 97% of PANTONE colors, Haney now can provide customized printing solutions for nearly 80% of flexible packaging go-to-market retail and ecommerce applications.

Prior to acquiring the HP Indigo 20000, Haney outsourced a large portion of its mid/wide format flexible packaging to external print partners. By expanding its in-house capabilities Haney can now provide faster speed-to-market and has the ability to quickly adapt to ever-changing consumer needs.

With HP SmartStream Mosaic and variable data technology, Haney can provide highly customized flexible package solutions.

HP Indigo also belongs to Haney’s VIA Alliance to develop the future of packaging and connect brands with global technology leaders.
