InkRouter Proves Collaboration Grows Print Industry at Print 17

Press release from the issuing company

Global member network creates alliance between print sellers and providers

LAS VEGAS, NV - Print shop owners have discovered a comprehensive, yet simple solution for expanding services and capabilities at no charge. InkRouter presented its print procurement automation and global network for web-to-print storefronts and trade printer at Print 17, a leading graphic communications trade show held Sept. 10-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Attracting global attention from visitors, InkRouter offered a new trade model to approximately 20,000 print professionals at the industry’s largest event. The no-charge, no-haggle procurement process automates traditional print buying practices on a worldwide scale garnered much interest.

“Print 17 attendees recognized that InkRouter’s technology gives them the ability to collaborate with other print shops as well as expand their own portfolio and capabilities,” said Robert Godwin, director, business development, InkRouter. “What surprised them, though, is the degree and global scope of automation.”

The cloud-based API provides a full solution for those looking to expand their businesses beyond a traditional sales force. InkRouter’s bi-directional technology facilitates collaboration by matching print orders up to 100 attributes and finding the lowest landed cost among existing capabilities of print providers.

In addition to print sellers and print providers, e-commerce and MIS platform providers, and software developers expressed eager participation in the complimentary global network. Press manufacturers particularly found value in InkRouter as a way to drive business directly to printer customers who own specialized print products.

Upon completing registration, access to virtually every available print process is instantaneous. Approximately 25 new members from all over the U.S. and around the world are expected to join following a successful exhibition at this year’s Print 17.
