Printing Industries Association of San Diego Installs 2017-18 Officers and Directors

SAN DIEGO –­ The Printing Industries Association of San Diego (PIASD), the largest local association serving the printing and graphic arts industry, elected David Gonzalez, President of Southland Envelope as Chairman of the Board of PIASD. Mr. Gonzalez and the 2017-2018 Board of Directors were installed at the association’s Annual Meeting with PIA President and CEO, Michael Makin.  In addition to the Chairman of the Board, the other elected officers are: Summer Gould (Eye/Comm) is the association’s Vice-Chairman, Ryan Stevens (Replica Printing) is Secretary/Treasurer; and Therese Fleming (R.R. Donnelley) the Immediate Past Chairman.

“I’m excited about leading PIA San Diego during the next year to maximize our value to members and to represent this exciting industry as we incorporate technology, innovation and resources to this dynamic market,” said David Gonzalez. “Never has print and design been more impacted by the best available materials and technology to bring exciting visual communications to both consumers and business,” Gonzalez added.

The directors of the organization installed were T.D. Christian (San Diego Die Cutting), Dan Armstrong (Advanced Web Offset), Tom Liotta (Spicers), Chris Hamm (Tabs, Etc.), Jim Lakdawala (VDP Direct), Susan Purcell (Marcoa Media), Tom Hale (ZUZA).  Karen Fulton serves as the president of PIASD and Ryan Stevens serves as the PIA National Board Member.
