Positive response to its wide array of press products, service, and quality

  • Steadfast support for the North American industry
  • Commercial and packaging sectors were well represented
  • On eve of historic 200th anniversary

The graphic arts community convened at McCormick Place in Chicago from September 10-14 where KBA North America welcomed enthusiastic crowds to its innovative and exciting display. Over the four day event in the Windy City, KBA’s booth at the main entrance to the show floor attracted qualified press buyers from across the country, eager to learn more about the firm’s technological advancements and strategic solutions on its offset commercial, packaging, converting, digital, flexo, newspaper, and specialty press products including its new KBA-Iberica die cutting line.

“PRINT 17 has been excellent,” says Eric Frank, senior vice president of marketing and product development at KBA North America. “We have met new customers and engaged with existing customers, throughout the show. I see customers from all sectors, commercial as well as folding carton. KBA is happy to be supporting PRINT 17.”

The KBA booth was consistently booked for one-on-one client discussions where customers learned how its technology can solve specific challenges in their pressrooms. KBA sales managers were kept busy meeting with a diverse crowd of attendees, some of whom are expanding both their traditional print applications, while others are looking to increase capacity or expand into new areas. Everyone was pleased with the success and enthusiasm of the attendees and their positive response to KBA’s product line-up. Customers overwhelming enjoyed the homemade German brats and refreshing cold beer served throughout the day at the KBA bar.

While KBA representatives held discussions with current and potential customers in Chicago, there was a noticeable buzz throughout the KBA booth as the entire firm awaits the gigantic celebration this week in Germany marking the firm’s 200th anniversary.

During the show, KBA was honored to receive the Printing News 2017 Readers’ Choice Top Products award for its Flexotechnica CI Flexo NEO XD LR HYBRID press. Jeff Dietz accepted the award as the new North American vice president overseeing its fast-growing flexible, digital, newspaper, metal, and corrugated markets. The Printing News Readers’ Choice Top Products Awards feature the breakthrough products that have caused the most excitement in the industry and have been a valuable asset to businesses over the last year. Voting was done entirely by Printing News readers and is an important statement on the quality of the Flexotechnica CI Flexo press and recognition of its importance to KBA’s customers’ businesses.
