ICC Releases 2001 Report

Press release from the issuing company

May 8, 2002 -- The International Color Consortium has published its first Report covering the activities and accomplishments of the group during 2001. The Report contains complete information on the activities of each working group of the ICC including their objectives and an assessment of their progress towards improving the ICC specification. “Recently the ICC decided that it needed to reach out to the public and share information about its goals and accomplishments,” said ICC Secretary William K. “Kip” Smythe. “2001 was a very productive year for the group as both a minor and major revision to the ICC specification were released which made over 16 improvements to ICC based color management,” he added. The process color report covers sixteen pages and is available upon request from Smythe at NPES, 1899 Preston White Drive, Reston, VA 20191. Or, a pdf version of the document can be downloaded from the ICC web site at http://www.color.org/NPES_ICC_Report.pdf. NPES serves as administrative secretariat to the ICC.
