PrintMail Solutions chooses Ricoh to manage mission-critical workflows for its banking, financial and medical customers

Press release from the issuing company

Commercial printer aims to better serve highly-regulated clients with greater data security, improved information management, defensible audit trails, and greater efficiencies

CHICAGO (PRINT 17, Booth 2022), – Ricoh USA, Inc. today announced a partnership with PrintMail Solutions that will increase the value provided to its customers by better managing mission-critical communication workflows with RICOH ProcessDirector and Ricoh's InfoPrint 5000 GP full-color inkjet solution. PrintMail, which serves banking, financial and medical institutions from four facilities located around the country, turned to Ricoh to help them meet clients' increasingly complex demands and their needs for shorter turnaround times. The InfoPrint 5000 is the company's first continuous feed platform and its first inkjet implementation.

"Our business was growing, and we needed to adapt our approach to help ensure we could continually deliver the accuracy, quality and turnaround times on which we'd built our name," said Kevin Reilly, Chief Executive Officer, PrintMail Solutions. "Ricoh was the perfect partner to guide us through the transition. We wanted to get new, enhanced implementations up and running as soon and as effectively as possible. Ricoh's team showed us they had the portfolio, the know-how and the dedication to get us where we needed, and as fast as we needed to get there. It was a true collaboration."

The Ricoh team worked closely with PrintMail decision makers, explaining how the modular, scalable ProcessDirector software could improve visibility into and management of print processes, and grow with them. ProcessDirector makes managing busy, high-volume environments simple, while producing defensible audit trails to aid regulatory compliance, a must-have in the finance and medical industries. The software's intuitive, centralized control of print production processes can empower digital production environments to streamline operations, improve process integrity, enhance operator productivity, reduce errors, and lower costs.

By investing in Ricoh's InfoPrint 5000 GP platform, PrintMail is benefiting from additional scalability, as well as the speed, throughput and color capabilities needed for growth. It supports a wide range of ink types, paper stocks and file formats, along with International Color Consortium (ICC)–based color management. This highly reliable production inkjet system offers low maintenance, with high uptime, saving PrintMail time and money by reducing maintenance frequency.

"Making the jump to a new technology can be daunting. It's a major investment, and no matter how you go about it, it is a risk," said John Fulena, Vice President, Commercial & Industrial Printing Business Group, Ricoh USA, Inc. "We know each business requires a tailored solution, and we are fully committed to finding that sweet spot. We don't just demonstrate how they can benefit. We take a hands-on approach to help them actualize those benefits. We're glad to have been able to help PrintMail make their transition into inkjet as smoothly as possible, and we're confident they're on track for further causes for celebration."
