The Peleman VPaper Tower Makes 6000 Sheets of any Stock - from 20 to 70 lbs - Lay Flat in Only an Hour

Press release from the issuing company

The cover matters. The font matters. The ink, binding, and format matter. When it comes to the most important bound documents and photo books produced every day, attention to detail is paramount. So, when the beautiful, 24 lb. ivory bond critical to a customer’s brand does not lay flat, the effect can be anticlimactic, at best.

Atlanta -- Today, Peleman Industries announces the world’s only remedy to the lay flat paper problem in print and photo production: the Peleman VPaper Tower. Modifying 6000 sheets an hour of any paper stock, from 20 to 70 lb cover, to lay flat using the company’s proprietary folding method; the Peleman VPaper Tower is the first and only lay-flat paper device available to end-users. The company will accept orders for the VPaper Tower, which is scheduled to deliver by Q4 of this year, beginning at PRINT 17. Peleman executives are available to discuss the VPaper Tower in the company’s exhibit #4045 at PRINT 17.

The VPaper Tower is second in the line of VPaper products to be introduced. Pre-finished lay flat VPaper in two finishes was the first to launch, at last fall’s Photokina. Peleman will also release a smaller lay-flat VPaper device, targeted to office applications, in 2018.

“The lay flat problem was especially difficult for photo book providers,” says Brigitte Peleman-Vantieghem, CEO of Peleman Industries Headquarters for North America and Central America. Peleman is the leading supplier of photo book covers in the world, and the preferred provider of presentation media and equipment, including a variety of finishing and binding devices, for short run and binding jobs. “We worked closely with HP Indigo sites to figure out a solution for the photo books. Once we could do that, following through with markets including the fast-growing, short-run sector using – virtually - all other paper stocks and finishes in the 20 to 70 lb range, was fairly simple.”

According to Peleman-Vantieghem, the VPaper Tower is engineered to meet the needs of a full range of production centers, including:
• Digital print service centers
• Centralized photo book production centers
• Copy shops
• Commercial printers
• Printing and fulfilment companies
• Book binding companies

Peleman Industries and a Different Type of Packaging
“There are two types of packaging in our industry. Most people think of conventional packaging, but Peleman Industries is in the business of packaging information and images,” says Peleman-Vantieghem.

“When you think of the level of importance these packages have,” she says, “you start to realize how much they reflect the commitment the service providers and their customers have to the end-customer. The lay-flat paper feature makes a perceptible difference to the quality of the item, and increases customer satisfaction substantially.”

Peleman’s business solutions are especially suited to highly targeted, short- and medium-run projects such as homeowners insurance policies or media kits for a new movie. The look and feel of such packages don’t only reflect their content; they reflect the importance the print providers and brand owners – like the insurance company - place on the information.

On the consumer side, Peleman photo books and wall art almost always require personalized and/or custom, 1 to 1 production.

The most important packages one receives in a lifetime, Peleman Industries believes, matter to people and businesses more than any conventional packaged products could. They are financial, legal, and business-related. And they contain photos from weddings, births, and other celebrations of life.

Says Peleman-Vantieghem, “They should be perfect.”
