Weymouth, MA – CMYK Distributors, Inc., the exclusive North American distributor of Digital Information’s InkZone ink-presetting and closed-loop technology, is pleased to announce the launch of InkZone Inline Sheetfed for sheetfed offset presses in Booth 445 at Print 2017, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL on September 10 – 14, 2017

CMYK Distributors and Digital Information introduced InkZone Inline Web for web presses at Graph Expo 2016.   With the launch of the InkZone Inline Sheetfed solution at Print 2017, it is now possible to retrofit legacy offset presses from most major press manufacturers including Heidelberg, KBA, Komori, Manroland, etc.  with InkZone’s state-of-the-art, inline color measuring system.  InkZone Inline Sheetfed is mounted onto the offset press, measuring the color bar in real-time inside the running machine.  In connection with InkZone’s online ink-key presets, customers will experience a new level of speed transitioning between jobs and a reduction in paper waste.

In addition to the launch of InkZone Inline Sheetfed, CMYK Distributors joins Digital Information in announcing the latest iteration of InkZone Move.  InkZone Move 4’s offset print color measurement and reporting combines a sleek user interface with an open software architecture, bringing new quality to color measurement and reporting.  InkZone Move 4 interfaces with new and legacy spectrophotometers and densitometers from X-Rite, Techkon and Grapho-Metronics.  The new InkZone Move 4 reporting option allows pressmen to check the printing quality of single printed sheets, as well as to complete press runs within current offset printing standards.

Finally, hitting a target market of thousands of Komori offset presses worldwide featuring the legacy PDC-I and PDC-II color scanning instruments, InkZone introduces InkZone for Komori.  The InkZone for Komori solution addresses a critical need created by the obsolescence of PDC-I and PDC-II.  InkZone for Komori connects with Komori presses, enabling modern color scanning technology from leading scanning systems.  InkZone for Komori is a cost-effective solution that allows Komori shops to keep Komori presses printing up-to-date color quality and to prolong the value of their investment in their presses for years to come.

In addition to these new solutions, CMYK Distributors invites you to visit Booth 445 to check out live demonstrations of our standard product line, and to meet the foremost experts in the field of pressroom automation including:

The DJet-

The DJet is an innovative double-sided proofing system for the economical production of short runs featuring Epson quality, as well as an ultra-fast inkjet print solution for the output of double-sided imposition proofs.   Capable of printing up to 40 double-sided 8-up forms per hour, the speed and accuracy of this system is unlike anything the industry has ever seen.

Tecco Paper-

Tecco is a producer and converter of uncoated and coated Inkjet and laser papers/print substrates and paper-based offset printing forms. Tecco offers an incomparable range of products for core markets including proofing, photo, production, and laser printing.

Ink Can Dispenser-

The Ink Can Dispenser is a press frame mounted dispenser which allows printers to automatically pump ink into the ink fountain using existing ink cans.  The Ink Can Dispenser allows printers to pump UV or conventional ink from their existing 2.5 kg or 5.0 kg plastic or metal ink cans directly into the ink fountain while maintaining an even and accurate ink distribution.  Through the use of stainless steel manifold over the fountain and an ultrasonic sensor, the ink level in the fountain is controlled to within .375.”
