Fifteen Join Ranks of G7 Experts Via Idealliance Training for Konica Minolta Business Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

Trainees complete certification requirements, broadening the company’s complement of G7 Experts in the field of digital press systems.

Alexandria, VA - Idealliance, the association for the Visual Communications and Media Industry, recently completed three days of intensive hands-on G7® training for Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., at the company’s print portal facility in Itasca, Ill. Fifteen Konica Minolta trainees earned G7 Expert certification through the private training event, which enabled the company to broaden its complement of G7 Experts in the field of Digital Press systems and featured many of its digital devices, RIP solutions, and color management systems.

The Konica Minolta trainees completed the requisite G7 examination and demonstrated their knowledge of color theory, G7 methodology, and print optimization. "Konica Minolta has done a great job leading professional development," notes Jordan Gorski, Idealliance Project Manager of Certification Programs. "By adding 15 more G7 Experts to its team, it is even more prepared to meet the demands of the ever-evolving color management and print market."

"Results matter," says Jeff Collins, Konica Minolta National Color Solutions Manager. "Quality and repeatability are critical to our customers. G7 allows any device to better meet these needs and push the envelope with our technology. Having G7 Experts on staff helps any printer or solutions provider optimize to best practices to reduce waste, increase uptime, and drive efficiency. Giving our implementation team this expertise helps us ensure that our customers are always printing to any specified requirements."

G7 Certification is the most recognized international specification for color management. The G7 process not only achieves consistent color reproduction across any print medium or substrate, but also provides tremendous savings to an operation’s bottom line. Utilizing G7 within a print production workflow improves output consistency across multiple print services, platforms, and distribution outlets. Idealliance is recognized by ISO as the largest certifying body in the graphic and visual communications industry.

The newly certified Konica Minolta Business Solutions G7 Experts will now be listed in a global directory of G7 Experts, Process Control Experts, Professionals, and Masters at www.idealliance.org/directory.
