Crawford Technologies Releases PRO Lockdown to Provide an Integral Security Feature for Print Files

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto, ON – Crawford Technologies, a provider of innovative document solutions that streamline, improve and manage customer communications, announces the release of a new technology solution designed to add an additional layer of security to print files. PRO Lockdown is a new solution that enables the encryption of a print file for transport and storage, ensuring that only those who are meant to see the data can do so.

“Print files contain gigabytes of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and with the heightened awareness and risks of security breaches, more sophisticated tools are needed to protect files,” said Ernie Crawford, president and CEO of Crawford Technologies. “PRO Lockdown was developed to easily integrate with all post-processing software used in print centers to provide a production environment with peace of mind that data security is guaranteed through the entire document printing workflow.”

Designed for enterprises that transfer print files to third-party print providers and in-plant print centers, PRO Lockdown protects sensitive data from being viewed by anyone without a password. The solution ensures each page of output is encrypted and decrypted independent of other pages, allowing steps like reprints to be optimized as well as secured. Additionally, PRO Lockdown meets the stringent requirements of PCI, HIPAA and GDPR.

Crawford Technologies will demonstrate PRO Lockdown at PRINT 17, September 10-14 in Chicago in booth #454.
