Minneapolis - AWT Labels & Packaging is the recipient of two packagePRINTING Excellence Awards-- First Place: Sustainability-Labels, for the innovative structure and design of Green Bottle Compostable Water Bottle Label; and Second Place: Labels – Digital, for the complex printing of Natural Inspirations Sea Salt Citrus Ultra-Hydrating Hand Crème. 

First Place: Sustainability – Labels: Green Bottle Compostable Water Bottle Label

“In developing a 100% fully compostable label for the world’s first 100% compostable water bottle, we had to overcome registration, die cutting and ink curing challenges associated with running a clear biodegradable/compostable film on press. Of course, there were many trial and error steps on our road to success, but identifying solutions to each welcome challenge is what AWT is all about,” says AWT sales executive, Dave Tovar.

Second Place: Labels – Digital: Natural Inspirations Sea Salt Citrus Ultra-Hydrating Hand Crème

Complex, visual textures of blue and green combined with metallic accents give eye-catching depth and dimension to the majestic under-the-sea design. Label was printed on HP Indigo, with two passes through the Delta press, to imprint the silver and matte UV varnish.
