MELVILLE, N.Y., - For the second year in a row, Canon Solutions America's Enterprise Managed Services Division (EMSD) attended the 2017 RTM Higher Education CIO Congress. The RTM Higher Education CIO Congress is the premier gathering for CIOs, CTOs, Chief Innovation Officers, and CISOs from higher education institutions. This invitation-only event is a "Think Tank" for IT leaders committed to transforming Higher Education and developing new strategies to improve campus technologies. This year, 178 delegates attended the Congress.

The Senior Director of the Higher Education Advisory Team (HEAT), Rick Ranft, hosted a Strategy Session on "Practical Applications of Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education." He focused on the evolution of strategic collaborations, utilizing examples from current EMSD clients to explain how both sides benefit from a unique and nuanced approach to vendor-university relationships. The session concluded with an examination of the future of strategic collaborations.

Also in attendance was Andrea Rai, HEAT's Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships for HEAT. HEAT was created to conduct primary research on industry trends and to focus on opportunities in the higher education print space by identifying and implementing best practices, including benchmarking metrics to track program goals and successes.
