Standard Register and HarrisData Announce Marketing Alliance

DAYTON, Ohio-May 6, 2002--Standard Register, a leader in document output management, e-forms and workflow solutions, has announced a strategic marketing alliance with HarrisData, a premier supplier of business application software for the IBM e-server iSeries and AS/400. Through this agreement, Standard Register's document-printing tools and security features will provide HarrisData customers improved print quality and advanced document security while reducing costs. Standard Register customers will benefit with the option to integrate HarrisData automation software into their business applications. "We're pleased to add HarrisData to our growing list of partners that help companies improve information processes," says Tim Spencer, general manager, Standard Register Document Systems. "This alliance will help customers easily migrate much of their critical business processes to efficient, error-free, low-risk solutions." HarrisData customers will be able to utilize Standard Register's capability to convert checks into highly cost-effective MICR laser self-mailers. This solution can also impact many business documents, including bar code/optical character recognition for various shipping or manufacturing labels/forms. These turnkey offerings are part of the Standard Register PowerPak solution that also includes a flexible, user-administered tool for creating custom-designed documents, such as checks, purchase orders, W-2 statements and invoices. PowerPak allows customers to * Seamlessly fold and seal 8,000 self-sealing documents per hour * Improve document security and confidentiality * Streamline document processing * Reduce labor costs * Sort documents for postal discounts. "Standard Register adds advanced print technology and document automation to the business application solutions we provide our customers," notes Lane Nelson, vice president of marketing, HarrisData. "This alliance helps us complete our end-to-end solutions for payroll, purchasing and accounts payable functions by adding the security layer our customers demand, while providing cost-reduction solutions for printing and post-printing assembly." The Standard Register document solutions mentioned above are in use today with HarrisData Business Application Software and the interface is available at no additional fee for supported customers.
