GMG opens West Coast Office in Irvine, CA

Press release from the issuing company

GMG Americas, the US-based office of GMG (www.gmgcolor.com), headquartered in Tubingen, Germany and the leading developer and supplier of high-end color management software solutions, announces they have opened an office in California to expand its presence on the West Coast. In charge of the facility is Eric Dalton, who was recently appointed Director of Sales, West Region.

GMG Americas continues to see growth in the number of companies that have adopted its color management solutions (in particular, GMG OpenColor packaging installations) targeted to a wide range of graphics, printing and packaging companies. The extended product portfolio also requires GMG to offer greater attention to its customers. This has required GMG to better serve its increasing list of West Coast customers, who reside across the country from GMG Americas headquarters. Also, GMG desired a physical presence in the United States’ largest print market. In a 2015 survey, there were 63% more printing companies in California than in New York, the second most populous state for printing establishments.

Beyond providing quicker response for its customers on the West Coast, GMG is also getting more involved with the local print community. For example, they have joined the Printing Industries Association of San Diego, Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California, and the Visual Media Alliance — at whose conference they recently exhibited. “Joining local organizations and being active with greater presence in the industry is a vital part of customer support,” comments Dalton. “Also, by opening a West Coast office, we will be able to respond faster to customer questions. Just by offering expanded Pacific office hours, our West Coast customers will have three more hours in which to make contact with a GMG facility for quick response during emergencies. We look forward to offering this enhanced level of support.”
