Printing Industries of America to Present Teacher's Conference at PRINT17

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, PA - Printing Industries of America is pleased to announce its partnership with NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies to coordinate the 2017 EDUCATOR EXPERIENCE EVENT AT PRINT®17. Printing Industries of America and the Graphic Arts Show Company have had a long-standing relationship in delivering informative, practical events that benefit educators in the graphic communications industry.

This one-half day event is coordinated by Printing Industries of America through funding made possible by NPES, owner of PRINT® and GRAPH EXPO®. It provides industry educators with an opportunity to learn about current trends, see the latest equipment and technology, and network with other instructional professionals.

The proposed event sessions will cover new and up-and-coming technologies, a panel discussion, and practical how-to presentations. The information presented is designed to show educators how they can incorporate these concepts, technologies, and ideas in their own classroom. This year’s event is packed with presentations by prominent industry speakers that include:

• Hal Hinderliter, Principal at Hal Hinderliter Consulting Services
• Dr. John Leininger, Professor at Clemson University
• Steven Schnoll, Schnoll Media Consulting
• A panel of printers who will discuss the skills and knowledge that companies are seeking in new employees

The program will be held on September 10, 2017 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, during PRINT® 17—the year’s most comprehensive global exhibition for the graphic communications industry. Registration is free for full- or part-time educators teaching graphic communications, printing, graphic design, or related fields.

Registrants will also receive free admittance to PRINT® 17. Educators can sign up for this event by visiting http://print2017.com/SessionsEvents/EducatorStudentExperience.aspx

Congratulations to Printing Industries of America and NPES for bringing back to PRINT (and hopefully to Graph Expo) a program dedicated to teacher professional development. For years such a program was the anchor and motivational stimulus for teachers in graphic communication as they begin their new academic year, and was missed over the past few years. This is a good start at reviving an important tradition and service to our educators.
