CSL Digital, a specialist supplier of Fujifilm wide format UV printing technologies to the sign and display markets in the UK, has announced that it is adding the Fujifilm Vybrant F1600 to the range of s-UV printers it currently offers the industry.  To celebrate its arrival, CSL is offering businesses in the UK the opportunity to win a Fujifilm Vybrant F1600 printer by entering its free prize draw.

The Vybrant F1600 is a roll fed inkjet printer is designed to meet the demand for fast turnaround digital print.  Although this Fujifilm printer features UVijet inks and UV curing technology, the Vybrant has a price tag that’s similar to entry level eco solvent printers on the market.   Capable of printing up to 1600mm wide, this four-colour printer uses Fujifilm’s FUZE technology to deliver durable, high quality images that can be finished and shipped to customers the same day without the need to allow time for degassing.  

FUZE technology features specially formulated Fujifilm UVijet VN Series inks that are delivered to the media via high performance Ricoh print heads, capable of variable dot printing for smoother, high resolution images. Now for the science. The UV ink formula uses a small amount of a solvent carrier to control the viscosity of the system. Platen heaters are used to flash off the carrier and pin the ink to the media before the print is fully cured by a static, low energy UV lamp mounted to the front of the printer. This FUZE technology results in a low build, durable ink film that delivers strong, bright colours with immediate resistance to scratching and chemicals.
