Warren introduces Performa Brilliance to its range ‘The best ever GC1 board we have created’

Press release from the issuing company

Warren, the UK’s leading independent carton board, graphical board, and paper stockist, has announced that it is to stock & distribute StoraEnso’s Performa Brilliance GC1 grade into the UK Graphical and Packaging sector, with immediate effect.

Manufactured at their Fors mill in Sweden, Performa Brilliance is described by Stora Enso as ‘the best ever GC1 board we have created’. Driven by the demands of the market for a product that sets new standards for visuals, printability and runnability. The key characteristics of Performa Brilliance include high brightness, excellent smoothness, and a great visual appearance. The board offers the most superior whiteness in the FBB market on both the top and reverse side.

With this in mind, Performa Brilliance has been specially designed for advanced graphical and high-end packaging applications, and is ideal for folding carton applications typically used for pharmaceutical, cosmetics and luxury packaging applications. Its quality and versatility make it suitable for premium brands, as well as being the ideal grade for graphical applications such as; book covers, greetings cards, folders, tickets, and tags.

With sound, environmental criteria, Performa Brilliance is available with FSC®, PEFC™ and EU Ecolabel certificates.

Warren have Performa Brilliance in stock now, available from 360 Mic / 230 Gsm – 585 Mic / 345 Gsm and sizes 450 x 640 mm – 720 x 1020 mm.

Heavier weights for Performa Brilliance will also be introduced by StoraEnso later this year.

Commenting on the addition of Performa Brilliance to its graphical packaging board ranges, Warren’s Commercial Director, John Turner, stated, “StoraEnso have really raised the bar with Performa Brilliance in terms of whiteness within the GC1 market; StoraEnso describing Performa Brilliance as ‘the best ever GC1 board they have created’ is some statement and one that made this decision a very easy one to make. With the improvement in whiteness Performa Brilliance challenges some SBS grades in terms of whiteness but at the same time offers up to 22% savings in weight, making it a very attractive alternative in many ways.”

A Performa Brilliance Toolkit, branded with both StoraEnso and Warren logos, has been produced to promote the GC1 grade, providing information on the stock range and applications.

Previously historically known only for its board products, Warren is now entering its third year of offering a range of quality, branded paper products. A member of the AIMS Group, which is an organisation made up of leading independent paper and board merchants in the UK and Ireland with individual members focussing on supplying their local regions enabling them to provide a superior level of service. Warren provides a regional service covering the East and West Midlands, the North East, and the South West areas.
