Press release from the issuing company

Echelon Fine Printing in Los Angeles, CA Wins Best of Show Award

Nashville, TN – The International Engraved Graphics Association (IEGA) announced the winners of its 2017 Engraved Stationery Contest at a special presentation on June 24, 2017, during the IEGA 78th Annual Conference at the The Orchards Hotel in Williamstown, MA.

The IEGA Engraved Stationery Contest, held annually, is designed to provide an additional incentive for those who create and produce new ideas, techniques and applications of engraving; To recognize and appropriately honor those responsible for design, creation and production of engraved products of outstanding merit and distinction; and to make all advantages, features and capabilities of engraved products better known to all types of buyers.

Entries were submitted in one of 10 categories, some of which were broken down into two sub-categories — those being 100% engraved pieces and those pieces engraved with a supplementary process.

The panel of judges, experts in engraving, design and related arts, employed a point scoring system to determine the winning entries on the basis of the following standards:

1. Quality of reproduction from a technical viewpoint.

2. Excellence in design, art lettering and general composition.

3. Effectiveness of the entry for its intended purpose.

The entry receiving the highest composite score within each category received the Best of Category Award. All of the Best of Category winners are grouped together and judged a second time to determine which entry would receive the top honor — the Best of Show award.
