Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Press release from the issuing company

Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging, a contract packager serving the global pharmaceutical industry with bottling, blistering, unit-of-use, compliance and secondary packaging services, has appointed Michael O’Kelley as Executive Director of Packaging, and Reddy Nandipati as Director of Quality.

With nearly 20 years of leadership experience at a variety of manufacturing plants, Mr. O’Kelley brings a breadth and depth of experience to his new packaging leadership role. He comes to Legacy from Amcor Rigid Plastics in Franklin, IN, where he served in a variety of leadership positions, most recently managing a large staff and budget as Plant Director. Prior to that, Mr. O’Kelley held plant and production management positions at Consolidated Container Company, the Mauser Corporation and Liquid Container.

“Michael brings valuable experience with high volume and complex manufacturing requirements to Legacy,” said Steve Meeker, President of Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging. “As output requirements have nearly doubled at Legacy over the past 18 months, we are confident that Michael’s strategic skills will position us to meet both near- and long-term requirements,” he added.

Meanwhile, Reddy Nandipati becomes Legacy’s Director of Quality following two decades of relevant experience in various industries. Most recently, he served as Manager of Global QA/RA at NeilMed Pharmaceuticals and, prior to that, Manager of QA/RA for PNP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Mr. Nandipati also held quality assurance leadership positions with the Mylan Group, Boston Scientific, and MDS Pharma Services.

“Reddy is an industry professional with a variety of aligned and valued industry experiences,” said continued Mr. Meeker. “His vast knowledge of regulatory standards and hands-on production practices across a number of pharmaceutical platforms – including classical Rx and OTCs – will provide immediate benefit to Legacy, and serve to further strengthen our already solid quality and compliance core value system.”

Mr. O’Kelley earned a diploma in Industrial Maintenance from Griffin Technical College, a B.S. in Business Administration from Upper Iowa University, and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. from Louisiana State University in Shreveport.  Mr. Nandipati has an MSc in Quality Management, a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and a diploma in Business and Project Management.  He is certified in several QA/QC competencies, including Lead Auditor - GMP, ISO 13485, 9001; GMP & Validation certification; and Regulatory Affairs, RAPS, USA.
