ImageX Grants First Patent License to PrintingForLess.com

Press release from the issuing company

KIRKLAND, Wash., May 1-- ImageX, Inc., the leading provider of online solutions for distributing, managing and producing sales and marketing materials, today announced that it has granted PrintingForLess.com, Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide license on two recently-issued ImageX patents. The licensed patents cover the conversion of Bitmap to PDF and PDF to PostScript graphic image files within an automated printing system. PrintingForLess.com is obtaining rights under ImageX's two print file conversion patents for use in automated print products and services. The license provides for a royalty fee arrangement, the details of which are to remain confidential. "We are pleased to announce this important milestone in our overall patent strategy," said Rich Begert, president and CEO. "This agreement is consistent with our previously stated strategy of turning our patent portfolio into a revenue-generating component of our business. With three Notices of Allowances granted and 47 applications pending on our print technology alone, we are confident that this initial license agreement is only the beginning."
