Press release from the issuing company

May 1, 2002 -- The launch of dotrix n.v. at IPEX 2002 has been declared a success with interest in the company and its technology generating a high level of sales leads. The company's industrial inkjet press, the.factory, has been branded a leader in the new league of productive digital presses designed for industrial printing. Says managing director, Rob Haak: "We had a lot of interest in our company and products, in particular our inkjet solution for industrial printing applications – the.factory. It's safe to say that 85 per cent of the visitors to our stand are considered strong prospects. "Visitors were particularly interested in the ability of the.factory to handle more demanding substrates such as aluminium and vinyl. They were pleasantly surprised with the capabilities, speed and quality of our inkjet technology in a non-contact environment." dotrix's the.factory is designed to cope with the changing characteristics of industrial, packaging, decorative and security printing markets such as shorter lead times, lower inventories, product variety and customised printing. The press is a cost-effective solution that offers printers increased productivity and flexibility with no compromise on quality. Based on dotrix's proprietary SPICE technology (Single Pass Inkjet Colour Engine) the press has undergone a period of beta testing at decorative printer Chiyoda in Belgium and is now commercially available. Concludes Haak: "IPEX was ideal for positioning dotrix and the.factory. We are very happy with the outcome."
