Admore Awarded Top Honors at “Gallery of Superb Printing” Competition and an FSEA Gold Award

Press release from the issuing company

Midlothian, TX – Continuing its impressive winning streak year after year, Admore, a division of Ennis, Inc. (NYSE: EBF), took home the top awards of “Best in Show” and “People’s Choice” at an awards dinner held on Tuesday, April 25th. The 28th annual “Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen, Gallery of Superb Printing” competition honors the top companies in the printing industry for their exemplary workmanship. Admore, the nation’s largest manufacturer of premium presentation folders and related products, had five entries submitted and, by night’s end, took home seven awards: four Gold awards, one Silver award, the “People’s Choice” and the coveted “Best in Show.”

“We couldn’t be more pleased that our creative team is being recognized for its accomplishments,” said Bill Tignanelli, Admore’s General Manager. “Their hard work and attention to detail is unsurpassed, time and again.”

The first big winner of the night was the “2017 Admore Sales Kit,” which won a Gold award in the category of combination techniques. Catalog, stock book and folder samples demonstrated a variety of processes, including printing, foil stamping, embossing, die-cutting, soft-touch coating, laminating, folding and bindery techniques. All Gold category winners were considered for “Best in Show” and the “2017 Admore Sales Kit” won the award. It is unusual for a sales kit to take this prize, and it was Admore’s first win in the category.

The annual Admore Halloween promotion was the second big winner of the evening. Since 2003, Admore has offered an annual Halloween-themed folder promotion. The 2016 version, called “WHOOO?” featured an owl in a dark, scary forest. The custom die-cut folder had five registered foil passes and one registered emboss pass. A special offer was included on a custom die-cut owl “Whooo-pon” with multiple coating techniques. The folder with insert won a Gold award, as well as the “People’s Choice” award, which is chosen by the attendees of the award dinner.

The 2016 “WHOOO?” folder also took Gold from the FSEA’s (Foil & Specialty Effect Association) 24th Annual Gold Leaf Awards for the best use of foil and embossing on a folder.

In addition, Admore won, for the second year in a row, a Gold award for “Euroclassics Porsche,” which highlighted digital printing on a document folder. The “River Market Tower” also won Gold and the “Advance Capital Management” won Silver. Both featured offset printing on a custom die-cut folder with stitched inserts.

Submissions to the “Gallery of Superb Printing” are judged based on overall quality of the production, including registration, ink coverage, color intensity, dot structure, binding quality and finishing, visual aesthetics and difficulty of the printed piece.
