Agfa to Integrate Autologic Manufacturing With Wilmington Operations

Integration To Benefit Agfa And Autologic Customers. Autologic Brands To Remain. Mortsel, Belgium – May 16, 2002 –Agfa-Gevaert has announced that it is integrating its North American equipment manufacturing operations of Autologic with its main North American manufacturing facility in Wilmington, Massachusetts (USA). The integration follows Agfa’s acquisition of Autologic in December 2001 and the ongoing merger of the two organizations. Autologic manufacturing is currently located in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Products to Remain – Support Will Continue. The Autologic product line will be produced at Agfa’s manufacturing facility in Wilmington, MA. "We are pleased to see that the Autologic brand continues to be strong in the market place," said Marc Elsermans, general manager for Agfa Graphic Systems, worldwide. "Our customers will continue to get the products and services that they value from Autologic and we will further improve the efficiency of manufacturing," he added. Customers Will Experience No Disruptions. Ongoing customer satisfaction has been Agfa’s utmost concern throughout the acquisition process. The consolidation of manufacturing will not disrupt Autologic’s service commitments. These will be maintained using dedicated service specialists backed by the resources of the industry’s largest prepress service support organization. Agfa recognizes the strengths of Autologic’s technology and R&D. As such, Autologic hardware and software Technology R&D will be further maintained and developed in California.
