Press release from the issuing company

Half-day conference focuses on topics including WHMIS and workplace injuries

Fairfax, Virginia - The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) will head to Canada next month to partner with Workplace Safety North (WSN) on the “SGIA Workplace Safety Conference,” a safety conference for Canadian printers, Wednesday, June 7 (8:00 am–1:00 pm), at the Centre for Health & Safety Innovation in Mississauga, Ontario.

The conference is sponsored by ND Graphics.

“The SGIA Workplace Safety Conference will give attendees the opportunity to address issues specific to their workplaces,” said Allison Lundy, Regulatory Assistant, SGIA. “They’ll have a chance to speak individually with the experts, too, and will take home information they can put into action in their shops.”

Topics on the agenda range from legislation to ways to keep an aging workforce safe and include:

  • Legislative Update
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Machine Guarding/Lockout Tagout
