New Equipment Keeps Copresco on the “Cutting Edge”

Press release from the issuing company

Copresco has updated its bindery with the installation of a Triumph programmable hydraulic paper cutter.

“The electronically-controlled system fits in perfectly for the production of our 27-1/2” long color projects,” says Copresco President Steve Johnson. “Clients love the oblong sheet format for projects ranging from dust jackets and wraparound covers for books to charts, graphics, flyers and six-page brochures.”

“Having the latest and greatest digital printing technology is all well and good,” Johnson added. “But, unless there are equivalent high-tech investments made in the bindery, all you’re doing is making pretty pictures.”

New coil insertion and crimping equipment also expands Copresco’s capacity for plastic coil bound projects.

Coil binding allows publications to lie flat or doubled over, for easy referencing and note takings. Applications include instructions, handbooks and workbooks, cookbooks, calendars and directories.

Copresco produces millions of impressions of short-run publications, books and manuals. Projects include booklets, catalogs, handbooks, textbooks and technical materials, guidebooks, newsletters, calendars and cookbooks.
