SUN VALLEY, California - Insua Packaging and Flexo, in Sun Valley, CA, has enjoyed winning seasons, every year since its founding in 2002, but the recent installation of its new 2017 RMGT10-LX-6 offset press, was one for the record books… in more ways than one.

A continuing commitment to stay on top of advancing printing and packaging technology, had Insua Packaging replacing its older Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 press this spring with a new 28 x 40-inch packaging press manufactured by Ryobi-Mitsubishi Graphic Technologies (RMGT). 

In the time it takes to host a 4-series home-stand, RM Machinery, the authorized distributor of RMGT10 presses, had dismantled and removed Insua’s D3000 press from its Southern California facilities, installed and tested the new 6-color + coater machine and had Insua Packaging running its first production job… all in a record 2 week period. On hand to help the Insua family celebrate was close friend, Yasiel Puig, himself no stranger to records-setting performance.

Albert Insua, president of the family owned and operated firm, indicated that there was no specific effort for Insua Packaging and RM Machinery to set any records. “We wanted to get the new press up and running as soon as possible, because we have lots of jobs to run!”

And speaking of records, “we’re pretty sure this is the first time in American history that any printing company has had a Major League Baseball player, not to mention one of Yasiel Puig’s star status, witness a printing press in its debut production ‘start’,” Insua added.
