FM Brooks Launches Pure Digital, The Digital Print Event for the Creative Industry

Press release from the issuing company

FM Brooks launches ’Pure Digital’ (RAI, Amsterdam 17-19 April 2018) a ground-breaking and unique event designed to excite the European creative industry with truly innovative digitally printed applications.

Unlike traditional print-based tradeshows, Pure Digital’s event format, content and style has been specifically designed to appeal to the creative industry including: creative directors, architects, interior designers, graphic designers, fashion designers, marketers and print service providers. Within one single and exclusive European event, Pure Digital will showcase and celebrate the very best of creative design within digitally printed applications.

From short-run, interior fabrics to bespoke wallpaper, retail interior print production to innovative packaging print campaigns, Pure Digital will not only provide the inspiration, but also the contacts from exhibiting equipment vendors and print suppliers, for creatives to explore and then utilise digital print within their upcoming projects or campaigns.

Co-Founder, Frazer Chesterman explains, "With Pure Digital, we aim to inspire the creative and marketing industry with the innovative power of digital print. New technologies launch almost daily, powering often breath-taking applications. We will be the catalyst that brings these applications, technologies and a providers together under one roof - demonstrating the power of digital print and supporting the growth of the creative communities and the digital print market.

“Until today, creatives have had no focused event designed for them. Pure Digital will be that event. Not a traditional print show, but a platform that celebrates cutting edge design with incredible digital print. A forum that educates visitors as to what’s possible when you blend the two together, often creating  market leading and often award winning projects that deliver superior commercial results.”

Drawing upon their experience and strong track record of success in growing exhibitions in the wide format graphic market, and the more recent launch and development of the InPrint Shows, FM Brooks’ launch of Pure Digital comes at a time when Europe's wide format graphic market has commoditised and Pure Digital has the aim of unlocking new market opportunities.

Pure Digital will provide a focal point for print companies to improve and ignite their true potential, whilst educating the creative industry to demand higher value digital print production with new applications - whether this is for décor, retail or packaging.

The event will take place at the RAI, one of Europe's leading event venues. Perfectly situated in one of Northern Europe's most creative capitals, Amsterdam, it enables the event to benefit from the city’s vibrant community of 40,000 creative businesses. Additionally, the event will be co-located with Building Holland, a leading construction exhibition attended by architects, interior design, and production companies.

Marcus Timson, Co-Founder, enthuses, “Many established print related shows have attempted to appeal to the creative industry, yet struggled to effectively engage this community. To our minds, this is because they have not succeeded in developing a unique and distinct brand and experience that resonates with the creative industry.

"At our launch event last week, close to 30 of the leaders in digital print innovation gave us excellent support and quality feedback. They not only validated Pure Digital’s concept, but also confirmed its alignment with their strategic vision as leading print manufacturers. We left understanding that Pure Digital could be crucial to the future growth of digital printing in new applications and markets, and we look forward to promoting the opportunity it represents to European creatives.”
