Walle Corporation Selects New Komori Lithrone GX40 Press

Press release from the issuing company

Measurable Efficiency and Color Quality Key Drivers in the Decision

Rolling Meadows, IL - Walle Corporation, one of the fastest growing, family-owned and operated label companies in the country, recently purchased a new Komori eight-color Lithrone GLX40 with coater (GLX840C). As one of the nation’s leading label suppliers to the beverage, food and household products industries, Walle Corporation is committed to providing the innovation needed to help its clients be more competitive in an increasingly demanding marketplace. This commitment led Walle to purchase the GLX840C to meet the growing requirements for faster turnaround, unmatched capabilities and lower costs.

After much research Walle said it chose to partner with Komori due to the company’s history of manufacturing excellence, advanced technology and reputation for responsiveness. The sophisticated automation of the GLX840C offers KHS-AI intelligent software with self-learning, automatic plate changing for fast turnaround and the ability to handle a wide variety of substrates. Additionally, Walle installed an inline roll-fed sheeter on the press to further support the ability to run thin and complicated materials at high speeds, important for producing specialized thin wall packaging solutions.

“We specialize exclusively in label print production for high volume consumer products for the country’s largest brands as well as flexible, quick turnaround services for smaller regional brands. Our customers continue to demand high quality, lower costs and more flexibility; and this press allows us to compete on all points,” said Sean Keeney, chief executive officer for Walle Corporation. “The GLX40 offers time-saving and labor-saving features that make it possible to cut set up time by 40 percent and significantly reduce waste. This meets both our efficiency and sustainability goals. It also delivers the high color quality and consistency that ensures we are guarding our clients’ brand integrity.”

“We are confident the level of automation inherent in the GLX40 will support the commitment to innovation that has fueled the company’s growth for more than 100 years,” said Mark Hopkins, vice president of sales, Komori America Corporation. “It is a press specifically designed to deliver the print quality and flexibility necessary to easily meet the demands of Walle Corporation’s impressive customer base.”
