PRIMIR Summer Meeting to Reveal Revolutionary New Roads to Success

Press release from the issuing company

2017 Program Highlights: Three New PRIMIR Research Studies, Expert Panel Discussions, Plant Tour, and More

Reston, VA - PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, the market research arm of NPES, announces the PRIMIR Summer Meeting will take place June 19-21, 2017, at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Themed "Print Revolution: Profitable New Roads to Success" the 2017 PRIMIR Summer Meeting will be packed with data and content from three new PRIMIR studies, keen insights and perspective from a "hot topic" printer panel session, a local plant tour, plus the world debut of an exceptional new NPES market data program named "ExpliStats".

First up, a new PRIMIR study addressing "North American MIS/ERP Adoption in Commercial Printing," presented by David Zwang, Zwang & Company, will showcase what typical features of MIS/ERP solutions are purchased, the extent to which they are implemented, and how they are currently integrated into the standard print shop workflow to reveal which MIS/ERP solutions are most popular, what capabilities are most important, adoption rates, and more.

The learning lineup continues with another new PRIMIR study presentation focused on the "Adoption of LED UV Curing in Printing," featuring findings by Marco Boer, I.T. Strategies, that delve into the application of these technologies along with the barriers, drivers, and opportunities for further adoption in North American print markets. Also to be explored will be whether LED-curing could be the technology that makes offset printing more efficient and capable of competing with digital printing technologies.

"The North American Market for Printed Rigid and Flexible Plastics," a third new PRIMIR study release, to be co-presented by David Billy and Justin Shemonsky of Dynovel, will shed new light on this important industry growth area that offers exciting new business opportunities for the print sector. This session will explore the expanding market and drill down into niche markets such as lenticular, to provide a current understanding of the processes, applications, and emerging trends.

New for this PRIMIR meeting will be the launch of an exclusive and valuable new market data program by NPES – "ExpliStats". As participants will learn from Dr. Joe Webb of Strategies for Management, the new program will strip away the frustration many industry executives and marketing specialists encounter in their attempts to use government data to assist them in examining industry demographic and marketing information. The new "ExpliStats" program provides a user-friendly dashboard with a wealth of information available on the number of U.S. print establishments, employment, revenues/shipments, and capital expenditures across the spectrum of industry segments. PRIMIR meeting participants will learn how to use this new member-only resource to examine market sizing and market share, as well as to develop regional territory and product planning for sales, service, and distribution—all through effective use of historical and current data and trends, and market projections through 2020.

Next up, PRIMIR partners with the Graphic Arts Association (GAA) for what promises to be a highly engaging printer panel session followed by an eye-opening local plant tour. The printer panel will identify what companies are doing to innovate, differentiate, specialize, and provide new services to succeed in the current challenging marketplace. The local printer/packaging facility tour will showcase technologies, applications and processes that represent the dynamics in the current marketplace. PRIMIR's partnership with GAA on these two program highlights demonstrates a valuable synergy between both organizations.

Always a dynamic forum for industry managers and experts from across the graphic communications industry to engage, signature components of this, and every PRIMIR meeting include highly rated roundtable sessions in which strategic business intelligence needs are voiced and incorporated into the RFP objectives for the upcoming year's research studies. Additionally, ample time is provided for the always popular networking and social events.
